‘I’m there’ was my instantaneous thought the very moment I heard that St. Mary’s was to be the host parish to PPPG. I had no specific expectations—I just knew I needed St. Pio’s wounds and his example of holy endurance of faith. I will forever be on a faith journey until death, a journey of miniscule baby steps. The pride and confidence of being a child of St. Pio helps me receive the grace to believe that Jesus truly wishes to continually reside in the house of my soul…
How St. Pio endured his wounds and pains has lead me to truly treasure Jesus’ Passion and Crucifixion, and now I hold a greater devotion to it. I am forever grateful to St. Pio for teaching me that the path of suffering is the path of inner peace. I have no need to get rid of my pains, I only need loads of endurance and patience.
